The full size rib drawing says to trim capstrip at the forward vertical member (in photo it's the vertical to the far right) except ribs 4 and 7. I'm about to start building wings (1650 EROS) and the directions say cut ALL flush to vertical member. Which is it?

Are you asking about the ribs made of RS-1 stock that go after the front spar or about the nose ribs made of 1'4" and 1/8" ply that go forward of the front spar? Attached are some screenshot from my CAD model, I'm building a 1600R, but I believe the ribs are the same as for the Eros.

I think you are referring to page 16? The ribs are made in the jig with the top capstrip longer than it needs to be and after the gussets are glued on you trim/cut it even with the vertical piece. On all of them.
I do not know what you are referring to regarding ribs 4 and 7. Please post a picture of where they say that and we can figure that out.

flydog and Keith103.. thanks... If you look at the first image I posted, it's from the full size rib drawing. It says "NOTE cut off 1/4" ribs at this point for ribs # 4 and #7". That point is forward of the forward spar. The top of the image is cut off, but says there to trim ribs at the forward rib vertical; the part the butts against the forward spar.

The instructions for building the wing, which is the second image, says to trim all ribs to the forward vertical, so there's a conflict in the plans with that.

For now, I'm leaving ribs #4 and #7 with the extended capstrip in case there's some reason. I can always trim it.

Maybe the first note refers to the nose ribs #4 and #7 and those get trimmed to a shorter length? Guess I'll see during construction.

The note "NOTE: cut off 1/4" ribs at this point for ribs # 4 and #7" refers to the 1/4" plywood nose ribs. The RS-1 ribs are cut all the same as per the marked-up drawing that Keith103 has posted.

Gangeli is correct. This picture gives more clarity.
