So I am about to begin cutting my max's wings open to redo the fabric on them, as it was never glued to the ribs.. for some reason.

These wings seem to have been made in 1990, and have never flown.

What should I look out for to make sure that they are up to snuff while I have the fabric off?

I am already aware of the separating trailing edge things that the fabric pulls apart when shrunk, and my plane does suffer from this and I do need to fix it

Is there any other common things I should look out for?  I just really, really don't want these wings to get a 3.5g knock of turbulence and turn into splinters and confetti and send me down to the afterlife.

The whole aircraft was well designed and then checked for stresses.

They fly.

Don't worry too much.

Glue joints in the drag truss. Rusted bolts. Unsealed bolt holes. Broken ribs. Failed varnish.

@Antoni

Oh I know its designed very well, I just want to make sure that it was assembled by the previous owner correctly, as its never actually flown.

Thanks bob! I'll keep an eye on that!
