Hi everyone! I just ordered the tail kit to my minimax/himax and I’m excited to get started. I am leaning toward building a HiMax but now I am debating which engine to use. It seems like the 1/2 VW engines have a proven track record for reliability, but they are on the heavier side. Small Rotax engines seemed like a good choice but they  are harder and harder to come by these days. I am less familiar with Hirth engines but they do seem to be gaining a fairly decent reputation in the experimental world. What engines have been successfully installed in the high wing platform and which engines would you recommend?
