I have not yet finalized a spark plug cap safe tied. Does this set-up make sense?

The sparkplug will get over 300 degrees F.  Bet the plastic won't be able to handle that.  Why not use safety wire and do the same thing?

If you have the correct plug (with captive top) and cap this is a non issue.
