OK guys; the stated MAUW of a Minimax 1600R appears to be 590lbs (well that's the approved weight in the UK with the strengthened U/C - Before we went SSDR which states a max AUW of 300kg for any single seater in the category). Now I've been messing around with an XL spreadsheet modelled on my weight schedule, and adapted to my current configuration (in theory only until I re-weigh).

Looks like I EXCEED the 590lbs but remain within 300Kg. With full fuel including range extender it's 596lbs. If I stick 10lbs of baggage in it's 606lbs for example. Now I've flown it heavier than this and I'm sure I've read of greater MAUWs on here. So what are your opinions?

What I'd like to know is what TRUE MAUWs you guys fly at?

Look at the graphs in the back of the  POH and 640lbs is ok if you de rate to 3.8G. UK site pages 26 and 28  in the files section Flight manual PDF.
