Hi all, new to forum, I have a new set of plans for the mini max 1500, in looking at the fuselage lay out I see that the bottom longeron is made in 3 pieces,  Im not seeing a set length for the center piece,or how much this piece extenze past the 2 center uprights, is this because there is no set length, just whatever it takes to get a good scarf joint

It is a bit confusing. The flat, horizontal bottom of the RS-10 center area runs the distance of 36 1/4" to 57 1/2" from the 0" datum line. Forward of the 36 1/4" point and rearward from the 57 1/2" point the taper is cut to meet the lower longerons going upward to the front and the rear for the scarfed joints.

I don't know if I worded that very clearly, but perhaps that description while referring to the drawing will help it become clear?
