Has there been a Airbike with a lifted wing root, for taller pilots, and if yes by how much?

Hi. I'm 6'5". I talked with Wayne about it back in the 90s and we raised a single place and a Tandem wing up 3" with no problem.

Thank you very much indeed, this are the kind of infos I love.

Was the tail structure also raised, or did it remain according to the plans?

What was the lowest HP engine installed, that the Airbike still flew with it?

If you keep it light they were flying on Rotax 277 28hp or zenoah g25 22 hp, not real good climb rate. Mine has Rotax 447 dual carb 42hp and it only had 600 fpm but I was 250 lbs.

I think you will be happy with around 40 hp. These come out nose heavy with bigger engines so don't go too big or you'll have to add alot of dead weight or modify the fuse. I had to add a 18lb BRS chute to the rear to get mine to balance with the 447.

How much did it change the angles of the vertical tubes up to the wing root? and how much did the backrest angle change?

Did the whole tail move up too, or did it remain as per the plans?
