It has been quite a while since I flew, almost a month in fact. But vacations and Oshkosh are over and I am back home to take flight.
The heat and wind finally subsided in South Central Kansas. At 8:00 last Tuesday night, due to an approaching storm, the temp dropped to 80 degrees and the wind, remarkably was only 9 mph. That's all I needed to make a 45 minute flight into the acceptable conditions.
Even though humidity made visibility less than 5 miles it was getting so dark I couldn't see that far anyway. Good thing I took flight, temps gradually go back up to 100 by this weekend.
The darkest photo was taken with ambient light, the lightened photo was taken with the hangar light on and camera flash, the runway photo was taken with ambient light.
