Well , fellow airman I bought a Kolb firestar, it needs fabric 27 yrs old and still tests ok but I want to look at the inside for corrosion so here we go with a few months of joyful refitment of a magnificent little flying machine. Its got the 503 rotax fitted for aviat (twin plugs and carbs and the plane has 188 hrs  and 111hrs n the 503) I couldn't help myself , please forgive me but I look forward to flying it as I have heard some good things about this craft

Nothing wrong with a Kolb Firestar, one of my friends flies one.

Does yours have the folding wing option?

Yes it has the folding wings which was a great selling point as my Quonset has an 18' door and my last flyer, I had an old bed frame used to put my craft on and bring in sideways and for my old butt it was a task to take it in and out, and it was worth every grunt and groan!!! Where I live there were about 18 days of flying weather last summer being I didn't fly in over 10 knot winds. The Kolb handles the crosswinds a little better so I look forward to a few more days of suitable conditions counting out the days I take my wife to appointments and other various duties!!!
