Hi I second the motion, Team Minimax. The plastic tanks last a LONG time and don't crack or puncture easily. Fiber glass can shatter in a crash and metal can break welds . Just my 2 cents, and the words said by Wayne Ison! Bob
Where does one go to find a five gallon plastic tank? Team doesn't sell the five gallon version for ultralights anymore. I saw amazon carries a good bit of six gallon marine tanks but not sure if they will fit on the nose.

Only complaint I've heard about TEAM's tanks is that the fiberglass tanks are heavy. Aluminum *would* be a lighter option if weight were a problem.

Since neither TEAM or anyone else ever offered fiberglass tanks for MiniMaxes how could anyone complain about their weight ? Did I miss something Or what exactly is it you are hearing and seeing ?
Besides calling something heavy or light has no meaning unless you put a "number of Lbs" on it. My 6 gal fiberglass fuselage tank is 3,5 Lbs , What weight is your aluminum one ? The original poly 5 gal is around 5 Lbs but I don't remember exactly I sold mine.
