Hi Folks  has anyone thought of using V G's on a mini max.  I realize that
they would have to be used on Hor stab to increase elevator authority
or one would be flying a wing without control  Thanks Charlie K  in eastern Pa

Hi Charlie
There is a blue/white himax that has them but I don't remember who the owner is. I believe he reported favorable results after the install.

I plan to use them. I may have a line on some extruded aluminum that will work perfectly and will post the info when I find out for sure.

There were a few pictures of what looked like VG installation papers on the old board, they gave the spacing and angle's.

Hi Gary  I found the info on the old board on how to bend them and that's what tripped my trigger but main concern is running out of elevator on landing..  Thanks Charlie K

There is also a picture of the stabilizer layout for the VG's, they are only added to the bottom sides of the stab.

I may have the pictures somewhere. If you can't find them I can look for them.

The max has quite a bit of elevator travel and surface area, I don't think you would have a problem. I would add the VG's to the stab also, if anything they will smooth out airflow.
